Personal Care
Care and support with personal needs such as washing or showering, grooming, dressing, walking or mobility, or a companion with personal outings. We provide personalised care that is personal to you.

Everyday personal care, that’s respectful.
From a helping hand for everyday tasks such as grooming, personal hygiene and showering so you feel refreshed and ready for the day, to encouraging you to help stay active through exercise routines, or providing an escort to your medical appointments, at Home Instead, we support you, so that you can continue to live confidently and safely at home. We pride ourselves on providing quality, respectful and consistent personal care services, as and when you need them.
Having a non-family member to help you with your daily personal tasks allows you to maintain your privacy and dignity while receiving the help you need to live at home comfortably and independently.

Frequently asked questions
-
Is personal care and assistance subsidised by the Government?
Yes! Services under personal care and assistance can be covered under government programmes such as the Home Care Packages & Commonwealth Health Support Programme. These services are also available for Private clients, simply contact you local office to find out more. Please note, there may be a gap and a small contribution to pay, as the Australian Government may not necessarily fund the full cost of the program.
If you’d like further information about this, please contact your local Home Instead office or call 1300 008 018 and you will be directed to your nearest office. Then we can walk you through the options available.
-
Will the same CAREGiver visit?
Yes. As with any of the other Home Instead care and support services we provide, once we have officially onboarded you into our family, the first step will be for us to get an understanding of your lifestyle, needs, and preferences, before we partner you with a professionally trained and compatible CAREGiver matched to your needs to help you with your daily living tasks.
The same CAREGiver(s) will see you at your home, so you can expect to see the same familiar face each time.
-
What if I’d like to change my CAREGiver?
Your happiness and satisfaction in the services we provide is our top priority, and with any services we provide, we’d want to ensure you feel comfortable and at ease with the bond and relationship you have with your CAREGiver.
If you would like to change your CAREGiver, please do not hesitate to let us know by calling us on 1300 008 018. We’ll be right there to support you through a smooth transition if you do decide to change your CAREGiver.
