From dawn to dusk and all through the night, you’ll have a trusted and caring CAREGiver with you, right in the comfort of your very own home.
The journey starts by Home Instead matching you one or more of our CAREGivers, so you’ll be assisted by the same friendly faces each day. They’ll be able to help you with:
Such as showering, dressing, toileting, meal planning and preparation, shopping, transport to medical appointments or for social outings, and prompting medications
Keeping your house clean, tidy and safe by cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming, and doing the laundry
Our CAREGivers will support you to continue to engage in things you enjoy be it watching TV or gardening at home, to transport to the shops for social outings or to participate in community activities, your CAREGiver will be your companion along the way.
Assistance with using your phone, tablet or computer, Home Instead CAREGivers can enable you to keep connected to your family and friends whilst also be there to call for assistance in the event of an emergency.

Frequently asked questions
How does it work?
To ensure you have care, and support at all times around-the-clock, often CAREGiver shifts are broken down into three (3) x eight (8) hour shifts. We at Home Instead will put together a compatible team of up to 5 CAREGivers who will be on a rotational roster so you can expect to see the same familiar faces day-by-day.
Do I get the same CAREGiver team?
Absolutely. Once our team of CAREGivers have been matched and confirmed, a Care Manager or CAREGiver will be assigned the role as a care lead. Through an open line of communication, regular catch ups with the family, and internal CAREGiver team meetings and communication protocols, the same team will look after you during a 24 hr period and they will also work hand-in-hand to ensure nothing is missed.
Who is this for?
Our 24 hour care service is suitable for those clients those who are at a high risk for falls, have severe mobility challenges, high medical needs or health concerns, or those requiring palliative care.
However, the most common reason for 24hr care is to care for those with dementia, where supervision is required around the clock.
