Home Instead has always supported older Australians to continue living at home the way you want with quality, flexible, personalised care tailored to your individual needs.

Now, the Australian Government has followed suit, offering older Australians greater choice, flexibility and control over your lives and to be able to choose the way your government-funded home care package is spent.

From July 1 2015, if you receive a Government Funded Home Care Package you can choose to negotiate with your government funded service provider.

  • What type of services you receive,
  • When you receive services e.g. day and time,
  • Where your services are provided; and
  • Who delivers your services.

Home Instead can deliver your Government Funded Home Care Package services to you.

In addition, your Government Funded Home Care package provider must now show you how much government funding you receive and how those funds are being spent each month.
