November 2014 marked 10 years of Home Instead in Australia. To celebrate a decade of caring for seniors in our community we were joined by the founders of Home Instead international franchise – Paul and Lori Hogan – at our national conference.

Home Instead General Manager, Sarah Warner said it was important to take time to celebrate the milestone but also recognise the many achievements and changes we have seen in the past decade.

“We have witnessed a multitude of changes to Australia’s home care industry over the last 10 years.

“We have and will continue to advocate for older Australians, paving the way for consumer choice in aged care.

“We have helped hundreds of seniors retain their independence and fulfil their wish to continue living in their own home.

“We have employed and trained hundreds of local CAREGivers who have provided thousands of hours of care to seniors around Australia.

“Most of all, we are proud to be industry leaders, providing seniors with quality, choice and control over their home care services the best in-home care and companionship that each and every senior deserves.”

Paul and Lori also joined Home Instead clients, CAREGivers, family, friends and health professionals at a special Melbourne Cup event hosted by Martin and Sarah Warner to mark their 10th Anniversary.

Home Instead client Mrs Kathleen Lundy said she was delighted to be a part of such a special event.

“I don’t get very many invitations these days so I was delighted to attend the function.”

“My wonderful CAREGiver, Sheree, helped me get ready, get there and back and was right by my side during the big race.”

“What better way to celebrate 10 years of Home Instead than with the people that are at the heart of our business – our seniors,” Mrs Warner said.

Now, ten years on, there are 32 Home Instead offices in Australia.
