Our Team

Tanya has worked in a variety of roles at Home Instead, including Client Services Manager and Acting Business Operations Manager. As People Experience Manager, Tanya nurtures the culture of our business to ensure that all employees experience a positive and supportive workplace.

Having been a carer in her own family, Tanya is mindful of the need for patience and understanding when supporting people through an often-challenging time in their lives. Tanya understands how important it is to provide as much independence as possible to our clients, while also retaining dignity and a sense of normalcy. She also understands the unique, rewarding but also challenging role of our CAREGivers and along with the rest of the People Team works with our CAREGivers to make a difference – not only to the lives of our clients and their families, but also to their own.

David has worked in the Disability and Aged Care sectors in a variety of roles including residential care, day services, recruitment, acute and palliative care, overnight respite care, and community care for over ten years.
David is passionate about supporting people to remain in their own homes and engaging them with their local communities and services. “It’s important to me to be an advocate for people accessing quality care services that are tailored to their individual needs.”

As our Client Experience Manager, David leads our team and ensures we are delivering high quality services that makes a positive impact on the lives of our clients, their families and the broader community.

Donna has been with us for more than a decade and is our Head of Scheduling. She manages the day-to-day operations of the scheduling team ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service from our wonderful CAREGivers.
Prior to working at Home Instead, Donna worked for Qantas for 25 years, embarking on many challenging tasks and roles during that time. A large part of Donna’s experience was working in and managing teams in areas as diverse as freight and customer service.

Donna says, “I love working with all the fantastic CAREGivers by providing support for them and for our clients and for our office staff.” We are incredibly grateful to have her as part of our Senior Management Team.

Liz has always been part of the medical professional and health industry – more so at the acute end. She found that her patients especially the elderly ones had interesting stories and lots of experience to share as well as enjoying having a laugh with them. Moving into Aged Care Nursing in the Community was an easy transition for Liz, and she was able to do what she was good at for her clients over a longer period, developing great relationships – and having real exposure to the systems that are in place to help keep clients in their homes. In Liz’s opinion, Home Instead is a notable example of what the Aged Care Industry should be like; a great foundation, amazing support and most of all, an ethos completely centered around better living for our elderly.

Of her role as our Quality & Compliance Manager, Liz says “I find it very rewarding to be able to use my background to really understand our clients’ needs and continuously improve the quality of care that we provide to them.”

Elizabeth has an interesting and varied work history that includes 18 years of Retail Management experience. She has been a Workplace Health and Wellbeing Manager, supporting corporate health and wellbeing programs. She has also been a Chronic Disease Management Health Coach, enabling proactive education, providing advice and referrals for community health.

Of her role as our Client Experience Team Lead, Elizabeth says she enjoys “leading the Client Services Team to enable ageing members of the community to remain as safe and independent as possible in their own homes.”

Having grown up in the Sutherland Shire, Pamela loves seaside living and in her spare time enjoys bushwalking and photographing native orchards.

Pamela has a background in nursing, with extensive experience especially in the Aged Care sector. She has travelled as a nurse to various places around the world working in remote and clinical settings. Pamela has been a Care Manager for many years and brings her expertise of the industry to new clients as our Client Intake Manager. In her role, Pam meets with potential new clients and introduces them to the benefits of having in-home care with Home Instead.

Martine has over 20 years’ experience in the aged care sector in a variety of roles. She enjoys making connections with client’s and hearing ‘their stories’, which never ceases to amaze her. She particularly enjoys making a difference to people’s lives in a positive way, by supporting them in making decisions about care whilst remaining in the safety and familiarity of their own home for as long as possible.

What she most likes about working at Home Instead is how we place the client at the forefront of what we do. In previous organisations the focus has been on funding and running a business. The values of Home Instead better align with her ideology for aged care. She likes caring for people who can be in a vulnerable position but who still have a lot to offer the community.

Andrea came to Home Instead from the non-profit sector. Beginning her journey in care as a Home Care Worker, Andrea has over 15 years of intensive experience in community care leadership roles. She is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals and is very enthusiastic about working with elderly people and their families.

We have seen this firsthand since she joined Home Instead as she quickly starting building relationships with our clients and working closely with them to look for ways to improve their care. She loves nature and animals and is very much enjoying being a grandma.

Loretta joined Home Instead with over 25 years’ experience in Aged Care and Disability as a Services Service Co-ordinator and Case Manager, delivering services in the Aged Care sector through a variety of packages on offer.

She enjoys providing ongoing communication with her HCP clients via reviews and wellbeing checks, lodging referrals for upgrades in their packages to ensure that her clients receive the appropriate care and services they need to live independently and safely in their homes.

Coming from England, Thea’s first job was in a nursing home when she was just eighteen. Many of her residents were in the last stages of dementia and she enjoyed caring for them because she felt like she was making a difference to them when they were vulnerable.

Thea went on to work in hospitals (surgery and rehabilitation) for 5 years. When COVID arrived in the UK, Thea was at the first hospital in the UK to accept COVID patients as people coming from overseas that needed to be isolated were hospitalized.

Initially joining our scheduling team, Thea moved to the role of Client Services Coordinator. In this role she supports the Care Managers, our clients and their families each day to ensure the smooth running of our services.

Zara loves working to help people to improve their day to day lives. Before joining us, she worked as a care coordinator at another aged care provider and as nurse program coordinator. Since joining our team, she has qualified as a Nurse. “I like working for Home Instead as they have a fantastic culture within the workplace and we are always offering a helping hand in support of one another when needed. I enjoy working in Aged Care because it makes me feel like I am helping multiple people a day … life is short and sweet but it’s the things you do for those that may impact their life greatly that can make you feel like you are always doing something for the community and others”, she says.

Di joined Home Instead’s scheduling team in 2021, becoming a wonderful support to our busy rostering team. She then transitioned to the client care team helping to look after the private clients in our area. She is enthusiastic about finding ways to help people maintain their independence as they go about their everyday lives.

Given Di’s experience working with Home Instead and in other past roles which include education, employment, marketing, and business development, Di is now our Community Engagement Coordinator. In this role she focusses on building relationships within the community and providing education about how aged care services work. She also organises social events for our clients to keep a connection with the community for them.

Tammy grew up in Colombia and moved to Sydney to pursue her master’s degree in management in 2019. She has worked in logistics and customer service and is passionate about making a positive impact.

From her very first day with the team Tammy has demonstrated our Home Instead values and been a wonderful support to clients, families and caregivers. “I know I’m not there in person with clients” she says “but you feel like you still make a difference each day because in scheduling we get everyone’s perspectives, their wants and needs, and can try to take the right action to make the best outcome for everyone”.

Originally from Malaysia, Esther loves taking care of others and being able to make a difference to their day! “I enjoy getting to know all our caregivers and clients and being able to be there on the phone to reassure and support them” she says.

As car enthusiast Esther loves drag racing and repairing cars when she is not gaming or kayaking. She likes being busy and challenging herself. Before she joined us was working in logistics and distribution for a whitegoods company.

Esther wanted to join Home Instead after hearing about us through her friend Tammy. Esther was attracted to the challenge of learning a new industry and by the idea that Aged Care was driven by a motivation to help others.

Nerys has been with us for several years, initially helping in the office when she was still in school. She is currently at university studying nursing.

Nerys says that “I enjoy learning about all aspects of the health care sector, I have a particular interest in Neurology and I’m excited to be working with Home Instead so I can broaden my experience and gain knowledge within the Aged Care sector. ”

Maria came to Home Instead from community welfare services and is committed to driving services that help families.
She is also interested in improving the mental health, social and emotional wellbeing of people.

Maria provides essential out of hours support, enabling Home Instead to provide services and support 24/7.

Bec joined the team in 2016 and provides office administration support. She previously worked for the Sax Institute, where she was involved with the 45 and Up Study, Australia’s largest ongoing study of health and ageing.

Bec has personal experience of caregiving while supporting family members living with Parkinson’s Disease. Through this experience, she has great empathy for our clients and our families and a good understanding of the assistance they require. She says working for Home Instead feels more like working within a family unit, where everyone is friendly and caring.

Tanja joined us in 2020 and now looks after the recruitment and retention of our CAREGivers.
Tanja has recently completed studying a Certificate III in Individual Support alongside some of our caregivers and found the experience very rewarding. She felt it was a wonderful opportunity to understand the day to day challenges our caregivers face and increased her ability to support them. She enjoys partnering with all the team in their ongoing growth and development in their caregiving role.

She enjoys being part of a business that is client focused and genuinely interested in enhancing the wellbeing of all family members caring for an older Australian.

Kaylie started at Home Instead as a CAREGiver in 2011.” I love working for Home Instead and supporting clients and their families in their own homes, an extremely rewarding career”. With 20 years’ experience in the Banking Industry, Kaylie joined the office team as our People administrator where she provides administration support to the Recruitment & People team, as well as organising and supporting the training and learning needs for our CAREGivers.
