Serena Lu established Home Instead office in Perth’s North East in February 2020.

Serena has a background in Science and developed her appreciation for personalised care, managing the Onslow Road Pharmacy which is renowned for its focus on people, their experience, and the service. It was here that she was faced with many families’ predicaments on how to best care for their spouses, or aging parents. Coupled with her experience alongside both her grandparents’ developing dementia, she started searching for ways in which she could help fill this need for Perth’s elderly citizens. Finding and joining the Home Instead Franchise was the best choice she could have made. With the support of this highly respected Franchise, she aspired to be a positive and energised drive towards the future of aging.

Apart from running the Home Instead Perth North East Office, Serena loves to fill her home to the brim with plants and spends most of her time looking at new recipes to experiment with.

Sophie has a diverse and rich background in business development, sales and relationship management. Her main work passion is relationship management where she truly believes in the importance of excellent customer service and building strong and healthy relationships, both in work and life.

Sophie originally studied art and ceramics at University of the Arts, London. So if she's not at work you might find her painting a picture or exploring a new creative medium. Inspired by growing up and watching her mum care for her Grandmother, she just knew that working at Home Instead would be the perfect choice for her.

Talia began looking to Human Resources as a career after working in multiple front-facing roles and seeing the lack of support for herself and her colleagues. Since starting with Home Instead Perth North East in early 2022, Talia has been able to see what a supportive work environment looks like and has been able to show that same support to our CAREGivers. Talia became passionate about caring for ageing adults after caring for her own grandmother when she was in her palliative care. This made Talia realise the importance of supporting elderly to stay at home and ensuring that their needs are met.

 In her spare time, Talia loves exploring different café venues and hanging out with her beloved budgie, Cauliflower.

Starting in 2022, Rachael has gained a background in NDIS with her main passion focusing around aged care and ensuring those that need it are given every opportunity to maintain independence. She believe in providing care to those that have cared for us for so long.

In her spare time Rachael has rescued 2 dogs, 2 cats and enjoy Dirt-Karting with her partner and watching sport with her kids.

Adele began working for Home Instead Perth North East in 2021 as a CAREGiver. She found her love for caring for others while caring for her Nanna and Poppa. Adele decided to go back to school to do a bachelor's degree in social science to further her development in case managing and care coordination. Adele has now been moved into a Care Coordinator role at Home Instead and provides this role with insight from a CAREGiver's perspective; giving her clients the utmost independent care.

Adele enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, playing with her dogs and cooking different foods with her family.

Mellissa’s background in Aged Care began around 2004, where she conducted ACAT assessments and managed an aged care facility. After taking some time for herself and her family, she decided to return to Aged Care as a CAREGiver providing support to elderly within their own homes. Mellissa has now moved into a Care Coordinator role where she aims to improve the lives of her clients.

Mellissa enjoys spending her spare time with her family, seeing live music and she loves animals (especially her dog).

Kihana’s background is shared amongst her experience in events, sales, marketing, and client relations. She developed a strong passion for growing her knowledge and skills to provide purpose for the community in a positive light. Kihana decided to pursue her passion and moved towards studying community services, where she further developed her compassion and love towards connecting within the community. Inspired by her parents and senior family members, she knew that giving back to those who provided care for us would be a forever heartfelt reward to be proud of.

Kihana, in her spare time, builds business relationships and improves excellent client experiences by creating brand awareness, specialising in product or service advertisement within marketing. She is also a qualified photographer, where she loves capturing the happiest moments of her daughters experiencing the joy of life.

Nathan has been working in the Aged Care sector under a similar role for 3 years before joining our team at Perth North East. He strives to deliver the best customer service he can offer to clients and CAREGivers alike.

He works to deliver quality care where he can and hopes to make as many lives better with his work and team.

When he is not at work, Nathan likes to go to the beach or play board games with his friends.

Tracy is an experienced professional with over 20 years of experience under her belt in finance, business and marketing. She has broad-ranging qualifications including counselling and coaching, consumer behavioural psychology, finance and management. Coupling her knowledge of business and finance, with her community-focused approach, and supporting an aging family, a move into the aged care industry made sense.

In her spare time, Tracy can be found singing in a band or duo, with her kids, family, pets and friends or contributing to her neighbourhood via a number of voluntary roles.
