Our Team

Owner

Sam Hardikar

Sam Hardikar established Home Instead Senior Care office in Melbourne’s Inner East in March 2013.

Sam has a background in Engineering, Information Technology and Business Management, but was keen to develop a social venture. Faced with the care of aging  parents, and the importance of their well being to the family, he and his partner Winita decided that they would build a business to meet the needs of our elderly citizens. Joining the Home Instead Senior Care franchise was the best choice they could have made. They are able to leverage their combined strengths and experience. Apart form running the Home Instead Senior Care Inner East Office, Sam, with his IT background, is an excellent teacher and volunteers at the Deepdene U3A where he teaches technology to seniors. He is also a very popular tutor at BassCare in Canterbury where he helps seniors use iPad, iPhone, and surf the Internet. His wife Winita has been a practicing doctor for nearly 30 years.

Together they have the patience, empathy and a genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of ageing Australians.
