It was a complete accident that I heard about Home Instead. I'm a full time carer for my 98 year old mum who is now in the last stage of dementia. I thought my only option at this stage was hospital or nursing home. Neither of these options appealed. Then Home Instead appeared and it has been completely life changing. Not only for mum but also myself. Susan and Navdeep are absolutely outstanding. They are always available and specialise in at home aged and dementia care and it has changed my life. From the smallest amount of care to 24 hours they offer qualified and experienced carers. I'm so glad that I found them as they have fabulous contacts in all areas of care eg nursing as mother has a catheter. Love them and Susan is a rare treasure. So run don't walk to your phone and have your cares and worries for loved one evaporate. I have never felt so supported in all my years as a carer I unfortunately need to amend this review. When I posted the above I was promised the World. I booked a 3 night trip to Singapore. I was assured and promised that the two carers needed for mum would be in place well before I left so mum could get to know them. As my trip drew closer I became concerned as the carer I was assigned was not the one staying with mum. I kept getting assured everything was fine. It wasn't. I only met one carer 24 hours before I flew out and I never got to meet the second one. I left uncertain but as they promised the World I convinced myself it would be ok. I came home to a broken washing machine no note or apologies. When I read the 'carer" notes I was horrified to read they were happy if mum had 6 spoons of food. These carers I have since been told do online courses. I was charged $5000 . This amount is charged for nurses and qualified dementia carers which they were not. I wasn't even advised that this huge amount would be charged to my credit card 24 hours after my return so of course it was declined and a fee was charged. Just be careful with this company. They will promise you the world to get you signed up and not deliver what they promise. That was my experience. Just do your research. I didn't and I personally feel mum did not get the qualified care she needed. The lady I did meet was lovely but so is my neighbour. Doesn't mean she's qualified to care for such a high needs patient.

I can't recommend Home Instead East Brisbane enough. The ladies that care for my elderly father are so incredibly caring and thoughtful. They are professional, kind and diligent. It gives us such peace of mind especially when we are away that dad has a daily visitor who will help him and be there for him. We have a team of the ladies and they each bring different strengths whether it be playing different games, encouraging physical movement, looking at photo albums and chatting about life stories, helping him to socialise or just fussing over him. He is very happy since we've started using Home Instead and as an only child it is a huge help to me. I highly recommend getting their help and support, it enriches my dad's life and is helping him live independently as long as possible.

I love working with the team here at Home Instead in Brisbane & Ipswich. From just speaking with Myles and the team you can tell they are passionate about what they do and always put their clients and staff first. A truly first class home care company. I feel very fortunate to work with them in their digital journey.

Gai and Myles at home instead have been supporting, kind and amazing when looking after my grandparents. The current government process for care at home had become almost impossible now that the government is involved, but home instead could offer us support the day we needed it. 100% recommend and wouldn’t recommend any other options for home care.

After a series of unforunate events the team at the Home Instead office went above and beyond to assist me in providing some much needed home support for my mother who sustained a broken arm in conjuction with providing much needed support for my daughter who was suffering with mental health issues at the time. Everyone envolved with this situation provided us with the best possible care and showed us the utmost compassion and understanding toward our unique situation.

Awesome, excellent and caring staff that help people live their lives the way they want too and being able to stay in their local communities. Well done Home Instead Senior Care. I have been looking for a business like this to work in for many years and now I have found it. I love my job :)
