About Home Instead Geelong

Home Instead is a leading provider of high-quality, relationship-based in-home care for ageing adults. Home Instead Geelong was founded by Giovanni and Giselle Siano in 2018 and employs over 250 people in the local community.

We help with a range of personal and lifestyle needs while providing welcome companionship for ageing adults. Services include assistance with personal care, light household duties, meal preparation, medication reminders, and transport to appointments, shopping and social outings. Home Instead is committed to addressing the individual and national challenges of Australia’s ageing population.

Home Instead Geelong was named as Geelong’s ‘Business of the Year 2021’ and received the ‘Emerging Business (under 3 years) award in the Geelong Business Excellence Awards, a prestigious award which celebrates the achievements of businesses in the Geelong region.

As we get older, everyday tasks can start feeling a little more strenuous. But that doesn’t mean you’ll need to leave your home behind. Our CAREGivers can help with a variety of household tasks, from vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, cooking and more.

Personal Care

Home Care and support with personal needs such as washing, showering, grooming, dressing, walking or mobility, or a companion with personal outings.

24 Hour Care & Overnight Care

Our 24 hour in-home care service caters to clients at high risk for falls, with severe mobility challenges, extensive medical needs, or palliative care requirements, and most commonly, those with dementia who require constant supervision and care.

My mother wanted to do a review but she doesn't have an account so I thought I would on her behalf. My Mum was using carers from home instead through another provider. Due to poor care management and no contact, Mum made the decision to change providers, she was nervous about transferring to Home Instead in fear she would lose her wonderful carers. Within 3 days of requesting a sign up meeting to transfer, James who was fantastic over the phone with Mum, organised for her new Care manager Thea to come for a meeting, what a treasure she is, not only was she so kind and reassuring to my Mother, she took the time to call me while there to explain everything to me as well, I was so grateful for this, I live away from Mum and worry, I was absolutely delighted with Thea's helpfulness and compassionate understanding. Every question I had was answered and more so. This was such a contrast to an earlier experience where my Mum found the other provider far from helpful. Plus Thea let Mum keep her much loved carers because they were already scheduled. Mum has so much respect for Thea and all that she does, she loves that she unexpectedly pops her head in once a month or so, with a couple of Home made donuts and they have a laugh (in mum's case, a cry) over a cup of tea. One day there was a miscommunication with the Occupational Therapist and Mum was waiting to be picked up for her trial. She rang Thea to see if she could get a carer pronto and Thea told her not to stress, she was around that area, she reshuffled her Clients for the day and drove Mum there, went to see a Client and went back to collect her. Mum spoke very highly of her very own scheduler Mel. She always keeps her in the loop with any changes. The carers are so high quality and make Mum feel like part of their family with their own stories they bring to visits. The reception ladies are wonderful, and very informative. I could not speak highly enough of Home Instead. You have made such a huge impact in my mums life. I am alot more settled living across the country, not having to stress about the care Mum is receiving. My sister usually organises the care side of things where Mum can't, but it's nice to know Home Instead understand how hard it is to be away from your loved ones when they need assistance. I am Cc into every email, emailed in detail after every visit with what was discussed and I have not even requested that. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Home Instead. You're all stars.

I knew that I had found the Service Provider I wanted to have care for my parent's needs from the first meeting I had with Giovanni from Home Instead Geelong. While speaking with Giovanni, his passion for what his family business was able to offer clients shone through with genuine sincerity. The paperwork to sign up Mum and Dad was straightforward, services for my parents were put in place quickly and Home Instead’s Service fees were made available, were transparent and came with no hidden costs. Mum and Dad have been with Home Instead for about nine months now and in that time, Mum has had a new lease on life, she adores her CAREgivers and when I ask her about how she went at grocery shopping, the doctors or having companionship when doing some personal shopping she says, they help me with everything and we talk and talk and talk, it’s like we have known each other for ever. My heart bursts with happiness knowing Mum is being treated and cared for so well. One of the services Dad has in place is Gardening where someone comes to mow the lawns, the gardening providers engaged by Home Instead do a fabulous job, they are courteous, efficient and get the job done with minimal impact to Mum and Dad. As part of client management, Mum and Dad are assigned a Care Manager. Their Care Manager is Jasmin, a gem in her own right, she has helped me so much with setting up initial services, making tweaks or adding new services as my parent’s needs change. Efficient, capable, prompt and great at offering helpful suggestions, I don’t know what I would have done not having her. She has been my sanity during some difficult times. Not to be forgotten are all the wonderful administrative staff working hard on day-to-day tasks or keeping us in the loop to communicate service changes that may occur and we need to know about. My experience with Home Instead Geelong from the first meeting has always been a positive one and any interactions I have had with them, I am made to feel like I am the only person they have spoken to that day. Home Instead have gone from being a Service Provider, to our extended family. I am grateful for everything all of their staff do for my parents. I would highly recommend Home Instead Geelong to provide care for your loved ones.
