Introducing Home Instead Senior Care

Martin and Sarah Warner

We are a specialist national provider of high-quality in-home care and companionship for older Australians.

We help with a range of personal and lifestyle needs while providing welcome companionship. Our services include assistance with personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation medication reminders as well as transport to appointments, shopping or social outings. We also provide specialist dementia care and palliative care at home. Our services are available from as little as 2 hours up to 24-hour care, 7 days a week including weekends, overnights and public holidays.

We take personal responsibility for providing the best in-home care and support to meet our clients’ needs and are committed to addressing the individual and national challenges of Australia’s ageing population.

Our national network of locally owned and operated offices has been developed with a commitment to helping seniors to continue living happily, healthily, safely and independently at home for as long as possible; a passion for quality care; and genuine desire to be the in-home care provider of choice for older Australians.

A Local Business with an International Footprint

Home Instead Senior Care is a global network of over 1,000 locally owned, and independently operated senior care franchises around the world.

From the United States and Canada to the United Kingdom, Ireland, China and Japan, Home Instead Senior Care supports thousands of seniors and their families all over the world with our personal, trusted, quality care services.

Our History

Home Instead Senior Care was first founded by Paul and Lori Hogan in Omaha, Nebraska in 1994. It was Paul Hogan’s own family experience caring for his grandmother for 12 years that made him realise the need for non-medical home care and companionship services to help seniors live independently at home.

In June 1995, the company began franchising. By 1998, Home Instead Senior Care had grown to 99 offices and was recognised by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the 100 fastest growing franchise companies in the United States.

In 2000, Home Instead Senior Care began international development with the opening of Home Instead Senior Care in Australia marking the fourth international franchise international franchise in 2005.

Our Story: Bringing International Success to Australia

Home Instead Senior Care began from personal experience. Martin and Sarah Warner founded Home Instead Senior Care Australia in Brisbane, Queensland in 2005.

It was through their personal experience, caring for their own ageing parents and experiencing a lack of suitable home care and companionship services for them that they realised the need for quality, non-medical, in-home care and companionship services to help seniors live independently at home.

Today, Home Instead Senior Care provides trusted, personal, quality care to enhance the lives of ageing adults and their families through a national network of locally owned and operated franchises in local communities across Australia.
