Why do older adults need my support?
Our mission at Home Instead is to enhance the lives of ageing adults and their families. As we age, we are more likely to face social discrimination and exclusion, reduced access to financial security and health care, loss of mobility and difficulty with everyday tasks. At Home Instead Charities, we support a variety of projects and programs that are aimed at providing a better quality of life to older adults and their families.
Where does my donation go?
Your donation is used to support charities and programs that provide care for less fortunate and vulnerable older adults. This includes programs such as the Mater Foundation Healing Garden and the Inala Wangarra – Healthy Ageing Hub. Home Instead Charities also supports a range of local community initiatives that make our suburbs a better place to live for all of us, including those of us who are ageing. One such project is the Koala Hospital in Port Macquarie, New South Wales.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, all donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. Keep your receipt for tax purposes. Your receipt will be emailed to you after payment has been processed. Home Instead Charities is a registered Australian charity with full DGR status.
Does Home Instead Charities support overseas initiatives?
While Home Instead Charities is a global organisation, your donation is to Home Instead Charities Australia and as such, is used to support programs and projects in Australia and New Zealand.

How can I be assured that my donation payment is secure?
Home Instead Charities receives its donations through Eway, a trusted payments provider that has the same level of data security as some of the world’s biggest banks. Eway is also certified with Level 1 DSS compliance, which is the highest level of encryption available.
How can I be assured that my donation is going to those in need?
Home Instead Charities is registered as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) with the Australian Tax Office and is also registered with the Australian Charities and Non-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Registration with the ACNC means Home Instead Charities is obliged to keep records, comply with certain governance standards, and provide a report to the ACNC every year. Who is on the Home Instead Board?
There are currently three directors on the Home Instead Charities Board. They are Home Instead Australia founders Martin and Sarah Warner and Home Instead Australia franchise owner Paul Mathewson.
