Home Instead Senior Care has over ten years of experience caring for seniors and their families at home. In that time, we have developed and refined our unique CAREGiver training program. We also invest in the ongoing education and professional development of our CAREGivers with specialist, advanced training programs in care management, dementia and palliative care.

Our comprehensive recruitment, training and professional development of CAREGivers ensure they are the very best at what they do – caring.

However, when you welcome a CAREGiver into your home, you want someone who is more than kind-hearted and caring. You are trusting this individual with your loved one's safety and wellbeing, and we understand that.

Here's how we make sure every Home Instead CAREGiver characterizes our values of compassion, quality, flexibility, reliability, trust and professionalism.

Thoroughly screened

All Home Instead CAREGivers undergo a three phase recruitment process requiring six reference checks and a criminal background check. We will not send anyone into your home that we wouldn't invite into our own. It's that simple.

Fully insured

All Home Instead CAREGivers are fully insured by us for workers compensation, public liability and professional indemnity.

Quality trained

We are committed to providing our clients the best in-home care. The type of care they need and deserve.  To deliver on this commitment, we developed our very own nationally accredited, in-house CAREGiver training program.

Each Home Instead CAREGiver undertakes our comprehensive, five-phase GRAD training program – Growth Through Reading and Development which prepares them for their role as a CAREGiver, ensures they understand the needs and challenges our many clients and families face, and empowers them to provide the high-quality care services we at Home Instead Senior Care pride ourselves on. 

Our GRAD training program includes recognition of prior learning by a registered training organisation and provides a pathway for all CAREGivers to obtain a Certificate lll in Individual Support (Home and Community Care), a formal, nationally accredited training qualification awarded by our registered training partner.

Home Instead CAREGivers can also complete further training in:

  • Specialist dementia care,
  • Advanced dementia care,
  • Palliative care, and
  • Disability care.

It is important to us, that we find the right CAREGiver for you. Someone you like and feel comfortable with. That is why we take the time to get to know you and your family so we can select the right CAREGiver for your individual needs and preferences.

The relationship between our clients and our CAREGivers is personal and we strive to ensure consistency of CAREGivers for our clients regardless of your changing needs or circumstances.

Personal introduction, quality assured

At Home Instead Senior Care, we introduce you and your family to your CAREGiver before our in-home services commence. Thereafter, we conduct regular quality assurance home visits to ensure that our CAREGivers are providing the services that have been agreed, to the standard at which we expect and ensure that you and your family are 100% satisfied with every aspect of our care.
